I talked sometime ago about making a list of some of my favourite websites. Well I do not have such a list here right now but I wanted to do an early share, as I have been writing a lot recently and this one has been helpful. There are a lot of websites designed to count your words, usually by reading text you have typed in the box or copied and pasted from say Wordpad or even a web browser but this one is my favourite so far.

Not only does it count words, it counts EVERYTHING. Well. Sorta. It counts words, sentences, characters and also tells you how many times your most popular words have appeared! Genius. So in one of my books I could see that one chapter had "Light" used something like ten times which is not neccessarily good or bad but of course handy to see and should I decide to replace with another word if appropriate and does not change the intended meaning, tone etc then I can and for other words also. While it will not sure data for all words, if you know a certain chapter or part of chapter that you are suspicious of, copy and paste that and thus you should get a different reading.
