I have not read them all yet but number one is good. Of course people mean well often but saying something is "Small" represents a misunderstanding of ones problems, thereby cutting them of from seeking help from you sometimes. If someone says, "I broke a leg on my chair" or "She has not spoken to me for a few minutes" do not use your logic, that is the common mistake for these two examples and the other billions if not infinite examples. There is something else going on in their life, they could be purposely or accidentally using said examples as a placeholder for the real event of the cause of pain, it could represent something deeper due to a childhood experience that was similar or countless other reasons. Not just true for anxiety or depression even, if someone is struggling THEY are struggling, therefore THEIR mindset, psychology, life, problems, struggles etc is in play, not yours. So sit down and talk and find out why they are acting the way they are rather then explaining "Do not fret dear, it's just a drink you spilled." Because that is a lie as it is clearly not the case for them. A trap my mum often falls into making.
